The classic 46.6m Feadship AZTECA (née LIONWIND) was built in aluminium by Feadship to a design by the iconic Jon Bannenberg. AZTECA has been regularly updated and refitted since her delivery in 1983. In 1997 she had a 1.5m stern extension at Feadship’s Royal Van Lent shipyard, with subsequent refit work in Sydney in 2002, Cairns in 2007 and a one-year refit – with significant structural work to the hull, dry-docking work and other system upgrades – at Malta Superyacht Services in 2008.

The interior is as radical with cocoons of butter-soft, over-stuffed kid leather panels offset with hammered metal detailing and kilometers of thick polished Perspex handrails and details. Conventions were turned on their head. Television sets are housed in cantilevered leather-clad boxes rather than recessed into furniture units. This trend-setting superyacht of all time has inspired countless of designers. When onboard it feels like a journey into Bannenberg’s DNA. The glass-roofed solarium on the top deck and the snug, forward-facing observation saloon were years ahead of their time.

Azteca can accommodate 10 guests in 5 cabins consisting of a spit level master suite with independent access to the main deck, a main deck VIP suite, a further VIP suite on the lower deck and two twins, all with en-suite facilities.

Twin 3,000hp MTU engines give her a cruising speed of 18 knots and a range of 1,500 nautical miles at 15 knots.
