Like many of the Cecil Wright team who grew up on the UK South Coast, I have been lucky enough to follow my childhood passion for sailing into my career.
For the last 12 years I have been working as an officer on yachts of up to 90 metres and as a captain on yachts up to 50 metres. This insight has given me a valuable understanding of all large yacht operations, from operational costs of a superyacht, cruising knowledge, engineering experience and most importantly hiring and incentivising a 6-star crew.
Yachting is about incredible experiences; attention to detail and the privacy & convenience that only a superyacht can afford. The right relationship between an owner and the captain and their broker is the critical formula for a successful journey in yacht ownership.
