Hattie Rogers’ World Championships
Continuing Cecil Wright & Partners' commitment to championing young athletes at the top of their game, the sponsorship will see Hattie well supported in her burgeoning career as one the UK's greatest foiling sailors.
Hattie’s skills as a foiling sailor have already seen her take the titles of International Moth Female Champion and World WASZP Female Champion, and Hattie proudly tops the global rankings of female foiling competitors. Hattie is currently an Athena Pathway sailor competing for the Youth and Women's Americas Cup.
In complement to her career on the water, Hattie recently graduated from the University of Southampton with first-class honours and a master’s degree in Ship Science Engineering. This technical expertise has enabled her to play a key role in development of systems for the AC40, in which she’ll be competing for the Youth and Women’s America’s Cup as part of the Athena Pathway programme.
Launched in August 2022 by Heather Mills and Ben Ainslie, the Athena Pathway aims to fast-track development in high-performance sailing. With sustainability as its core, and an ethos of ‘People, Planet and Purpose’, it’s an initiative Cecil Wright is proud to stand behind.
Hattie’s passion for sailing extends far beyond her own career. She is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of sailors, particularly young women and girls, as well as promoting STEM education and careers in engineering. Her own commitment to helping those at the grass roots of sailing, aligning closely with ours, here at Cecil Wright.
