44m FITZROY ARTEMIS SOLD IN HOUSE BY CECIL WRIGHT & PARTNERS, TO BE RENAMED ‘MES AMIS’ AND AVAILABLE FOR CHARTER

Monday, 23rd November 2020

The 44.00m Fitzroy sailing-yacht ARTEMIS, asking price undisclosed, has been sold off market with Henry Smith of Cecil Wright & Partners representing both the Buyer and Seller.

Chris Cecil-Wright, founding partner at Cecil Wright & Partners, said: “I’m delighted to announce the off-market sale of ARTEMIS. This demonstrates our team’s deeper knowledge of the industry and our ability to find solutions when the on-market has been exhausted. In particular I would like to thank Henry Smith, who led the way for both Buy and Sell side on this deal. I would also like to pass on my sincere thanks to the Captain and crew for their efforts throughout this process.”

Delivered as SALPERTON in 2007, she was designed by Dubois Naval Architects and built by the New Zealand yard Fitzroy. She unanimously won her category in The World Superyacht Awards in 2008 and has proved to be a strong contender on the racing scene. Following her sale in 2009, she became ARTEMIS and subsequently underwent continual upgrades under 11 years of ownership.

Now renamed MES AMIS, she will complete the year in the Caribbean before moving to the Mediterranean for the Summer 2021 season where she will be available to charter through Cecil Wright & Partners.

Chris added: “It’s very encouraging to see the continuing uptrend in the brokerage market over the last few of months with this being our 5th deal since the end of lockdown. It underlines our belief that quality yachts will sell both on and off the market. We are looking forward to finishing this year on a high.”
