Pole Position in Monaco

Experience the unparalleled thrill of the Monaco Grand Prix, a pinnacle event in the Formula 1 calendar boasting a rich history dating back to 1929. Renowned for its glamour, this iconic race transforms the principality into a hub of excitement, drawing actors, artists, celebrities, and tycoons from around the globe.

There’s no better way to view the racing and absorb the high-octane action than on board a superyacht! Watching the F1 drama unfold while drinking Champagne with your family, friends or colleagues is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The team at Cecil Wright has expertise on all things yachting, with the Monaco Grand Prix being no exception.

The complexities around a Monaco Grand Prix charter can be quite daunting for a client. Finding the right yacht is particularly important. We usually suggest a tri-deck vessel with ample amounts of outdoor deck space, especially on the sundeck and bridge-deck aft areas. This will ensure an optimal viewing platform for you and your guests.

Once the yacht is booked, we begin the process of securing a Zone-1 berth in Port Hercule. These berths have the best views of the circuit and are notoriously difficult to guarantee, with the straight between the chicane and Tabac corner being the most desirable location for a superyacht. Here yachts are backed up against the port wall giving an unobstructed view from the exit of the tunnel through to Tabac corner.

Amongst the complexities are the things you’ll need to be eligible for a track-side berth: firstly, you’ll need a driver’s letter from a current F1 driver, and secondly, you’ll have to secure a letter from an F1 sponsor. Both are essential for your berth application.

Cecil Wright has a close relationship with the port and the key decision makers within F1. This allows us to give an accurate prediction on where we think the yacht will be located.

This year we have five yachts attending the Monaco Grand Prix (23rd – 26th May), four of which have a prestigious, track-side berth overlooking the circuit.
