OKTO FEATURES IN LIVELY PERIOD FOR BROKERAGE NEWS

THURSDAY 18th FEBRUARY 2016

In what has been a lively period for brokerage news, several big central agency listings have changed hands. VSY’s part-built 64m Duchess is now for sale with Tomaso Polli at Edmiston and Kevin Bonnie at IYC, 55.4m Turquoise saw the addition of Cecil Wright & Partners as listing agents alongside Burgess, as well as a €4 million price reduction, and 66m Okto has had a central agency change and is now for sale with Moran Yacht & Ship for €54.5 million.

Okto was delivered in 2014, one of five superyachts to be delivered by ISA Yachts that year, prior to the yard going into administration in 2015. It recently became known that Wider Yachts, the Italian shipyard and industry newcomer, is interested in a takeover of the ISA Yachts’ facility and brand as part of its extensive growth ambitions.

66m Okto

Okto received bounteous praise for its exterior work at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show. The exterior styling was completed by Andrea Vallicelli, who has designed 22 30m+ exterior projects since 2005, all of which have been for ISA, aside from 31m Shadow, built by Comar Yachts, and 33.3m Graziadiu, built by Overmarine.

The interior was designed by the Alberto Pinto design studio, another stalwart of superyacht design, with 21 30m+ interior design projects to its name at an average LOA of 76.2m. The design studio has worked with the likes of Feadship, Lurssen, Oceanco and Blohm+Voss on some of the biggest projects in the world.

Okto is is fitted with twin Caterpillar 3512C engines with low engine hours of 1070 hours. She is able to cruise comfortably at 16 knots, reach a maximum speed of 18 knots, and obtain a trans-atlantic range of 6,800 nautical miles.

In addition to the aforementioned central agency changes there has been an announcement of two notable sales. Hakvoort’s part-built 64m Something Cool was sold by Moran Yacht & Ship for a final asking price of €59.95 million, and Peene-Werft’s 75m Leander G was sold by Peter Insull’s Yacht Marketing.

59.3m I Dynasty, currently for sale with SuperYachtsMonaco, has undergone a €6 million price reduction to €30 million. Her new price now excludes the lease on her 75m berth in Malta, which runs through until 2037 and was formerly included in the deal, however it is still for sale by separate negotiation.
